Dr. Carroll is originally from Kansas where her family farmed and raised cattle. She graduated from Kansas State University in 1994 then moved to New Mexico where she practiced mixed animal medicine for 4 years.

She moved to Colorado to focus on emergency medicine in 1998 and has been practicing emergency medicine in a variety of settings along the Front Range since that time. She was the Medical Director of an emergency hospital in Boulder where she worked for 15 years.

She recently moved her focus to Colorado Springs to be closer to her three adult daughters who live and work in the area. In her free time she enjoys cooking, writing, and taking advantage of all things outdoors in Colorado.
